Autumn is one of people’s all time favorite seasons for the changing colors of leaves, pumpkin-flavored lattes, and cooler weather. The weather makes it ideal for a lot of relaxing and enjoyable activities in Calgary.

Fall is one of the best seasons for bird watching in the city. It’s a great way to slow down from the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax.
Bird watching or birding, as they sometimes call it, allows you to connect with nature deeply and helps you pay closer attention to nature.
You can even go to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in Calgary which houses over 270 species of birds. So grab your binoculars and guide book and enjoy an afternoon spotting different birds.

2. Horseback riding
Another great activity during the fall is riding horses. You can try checking out Boundary Ranch which offers opportunities for horseback riding.

Calgary is home to a lot of great breweries that you should check out. Chill and have a good conversation over fantastic drinks with your friends and family.

5. Pumpkin hunting
Fall is the time for pumpkin hunting with your family. It’s an enjoyable activity especially for the kids.
Go to the Calgary Farmyard for the whole experience! Enjoy hours exploring the farm, seeing the Harvest Lights, and taking pictures with pumpkins.
