As one of the best Calgary breweries, Wild Rose Brewery offers great food and ambiance to its valued customers. These reviews will make you want to have your next chill session in this brewery.

“One of our absolute favourite lunch spots.  The food is delicious and the atmosphere is really great.  We picked up a couple mini kegs for a party on the weekend as well which are fairly priced and locally brewed (Velvet Fog + Wraspberry = Pink Velvet).  Amazing beer always and the taproom is definitely worth a visit.”—Jess Lynn

“Front door is wheelchair accessible, though no electric button. Inside, lots of tables to choose from. Lots of variety on the menu and the food came quickly and with generous portions. Topping it off is a good selection of beers brewed right on the premises! What’s not to like? location is a bit obscure, but you can reach there with Transit with about a 300M roll or walk.” —Stewart Midwinter

Customer Reviews

Citizen Brewing Company is said to be one of the best Calgary breweries out there. Here are some reviews from their loyal customers (called Citizens).

“I was luckily referred by one of the brewers to this quaint little microbrewery.  It’s Calgary’s best kept secret in terms of breweries in my opinion.  I have driven by it for two years without knowing of its existence because it’s located in an industrial zone surrounded by mechanic and body shops, lumber yards, custom wheel stores and everything related to these.  In the summer, the place has a little rustic dining area surrounded by lumber slabs with a gravel floor to walk on, similar in nature to that of an outdoor beer garden.  Very cool.”—Doug Schneider

“The beer… They do nitro beers better than anyone on Calgary and it is a treat to drink them. The taproom is cozy and the patio is absolutely fantastic. Burgers are especially tasty here. Come hungry… And thirsty! Easily one of Calgary’s best breweries.”—Amber Matthews

“Great brewery, fantastic beer, really well designed space. We came on the Urban Pedal Tour with a dozen people and had a great time trying their beer for the first time. I recommend trying the Formative Years, after having my flight I went back for that one and would say it’s their best. Also the non alcoholic ginger beer is amazing and would go well in a cocktail.” —Ian Macdonald

“Best micro brewery I’ve been to in Calgary so far. Super unique brews and loved almost every one of them. Especially like the Forward Progress ale and the cranberry/grapefruit tasting one. Bright, open space and very attentive staff that takes the time to educate you on their beer. Will continue to go back!” —Alisha Edgelow

They are interested in making sure you have a good time, not just making money off you. Steph was fantastic to work with. Strongly recommend booking events here.

With respect to the food and drinks, I’m not particularly fond of kombucha on its own but the brews they make are actually quite tasty and the cocktails are fantastic. The charcuterie boards and baked brie are delicious.

Highly recommend this business !!” – Lora Walsh

“Great place for a drink or a light snack. The kombucha beer scared me at first but tried the pear and cherry and loved them. The rest if my group had cocktails that they all loved, even made an experimental cocktail for 2 of the group and they thought they were excellent.” – Aki Hatzistamatis

Customer Reviews

Here’s a review from one of Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co.’s  clients:

“Nice spot for a brewery, and nice interior. With cool and unique spots to sit, there is a unique experience for everyone. The inside and patio have a great vibe. Our beverages were nice and in-linne with the current beer trends. The service was the standard hipster style, so just know it is the bare minimum. That being said, the impressive features include, a 3rd party food stand (clever business move), and a concise menu with ordering instructions that makes you feel at ease right away. Appreciated this because so many breweries are not clear on how the service works. Great job setting the expectation upon seating. Enjoyed our time here, will be back.”

Here’s another one:

“We biked all around Calgary on a very hot summer day. Stopped here for a cold local brew as a reward. We all ordered the flight and could choose from any of their beer and ciders. Nice selections and 4oz of each of 4 choices.  They also had a really thirst quenching slushie that i could have drank all afternoon called Kiss From A Rose…. if I didn’t have to get my rental bike back :p They didn’t have any real foods for lunch but were very accommodating when we ordered in pizza to go with our beer. Our waiter, Carson, was easy going and fun and had no issues accommodating when we wanted to have 2 glasses to share the slushie. We had a lovely table outside in the shade, which was most appreciated.  Would definitely come back here again.”

“Ordered some Pinball Wizard raspberry sour beer which was fantastic, extremely tasty indeed…. Safely delivered right to my door too 👍🏻😁” – Scott Tizzard

Here’s another one:

“If you only went for the Jane Bond BBQ Grilled Cheese and tater tots, you would be happy. Add in a flight of small batch beers and you’re good to go!! The beers are all quite different so I like the flight option (4x5oz for $12) to try them before committing to a pint. My fav was the Plum Forgot Plum Sour. I’m not a huge beer drinker so I think this one is probably a good choice for people like me. 🙂
The games are fun but social distancing makes it less so. Pinball night was a win for my son. We will be back!” – Gina Smith
