In that case, it might be best to look for tutoring services that can guide them toward excellence.
Even those who are in private schooling or homeschooling programs will benefit from great tutors who will focus on their particular case and give them an individualized learning experience.
You may be asking, however, when does a student need tutoring? Here are a few signs that you should be looking out for as a concerned parent or guardian.

1. They’re exhibiting low self-esteem.
If your child is showing low self-esteem in their studies, this can be a warning signal that they need extra help and motivation. You can ask them how they’re doing and if you see that they’ve been consistently struggling, you can try enrolling them in a tutorial program.
Tutoring services can give them the extra hand in understanding difficult concepts and help pull their grades up. The motivation they get from tutorials will also translate in their mood and how they see themselves.
2. They’ve been underperforming in school.
Every kid has endless potential, however there may be times when they’re struggling with hard topics in school. When it’s showing in their grades, it may be time for them to start working with a tutor.
You can also probe a little more and ask their teachers to see other perspectives. This can help you assist your child better.
There really has to be coordination between the parents and the teachers.
3. They’re showing little to no interest in their studies.
Sometimes when students are struggling consistently, it makes it easier to just give up and not care. In this case, they might benefit from having a tutor who can give them the encouragement they need to keep going and trying.
They just might need a nudge from a tutor who cares about them a lot. At the same time, try to incorporate a reward system to help them be more motivated.
You can reward them with their favorite pizza, burger, or Mexican food when they ace their exams. Find a system that works and communicate with your child to get to the bottom of the issue.
4. They have a hard time starting their schoolwork.
Sometimes schoolwork can get increasingly overwhelming and hard to start. Students can get frustrated and this will show in their motivation to learn.
They probably also want to do better but don’t really know how to start. Extra academic support can be extremely helpful in this case.
