What to Do in Bridgeland

Have fun at the Bow River

There are many things to enjoy while you’re in the Bow River. Locals like to fish, cycle, or jog whenever they’re here.

Additionally, there are some who also enjoy canoeing along the Bow River because of the spectacular views of the surrounding areas including the Rocky Mountains.

While all of the above are recommended things you should do if you find yourself in the neighbourhood, we’d also like to highlight taking a stroll by the Bow River because it tends to be forgotten as an option compared to the higher-octane activities.

We find it one of the best ways to enjoy and appreciate the views because it also gives you an opportunity to slow down and maybe take a few photos. During your walk, you’ll be able to see a few stunning bridges and maybe meet a few locals walking their cute dogs.

Support the Calgary Zoo

You can be assured that Calgary Zoo isn’t like most zoos who don’t know how to care for animals. In fact, it’s their mission to help conserve the lives of endangered and threatened species by taking care of them before returning them to their original homes.

Their conservative programs include educating the masses on the threats these animals face. Anyway, another way you can help is by going to the Calgary Zoo.

Not only will you be able to enjoy the presence of these wild animals you don’t see often, but you’ll also get to help with their conservative efforts!

A few examples of animals you’ll be able to spot here are the Japanese Macaques, King Penguins, Lemurs, Giraffes, and many more!
