Love is in the air every February in Calgary, and the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is only adding to this.
This year, they’re holding the 29th annual In the Heat of the Night event, which appears to be a tradition during the heart season.
Since Calgarians have their own share of love for animals, there’s no better way to spend a date night than with this unforgettable zoo-nique experience.
Booking for this event is always sold out (this has been proven and tested year after year), so don’t hesitate to inquire ahead of time; we have the details below.
What to Expect
No, you will not be joined by the animals at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo for your dinner. Rather, you’ll have a much “different” date experience that you’ll likely never forget.
The highlight of the event is the showing of a cheeky “adults-only” presentation about romance in the wild, of course, in a wilderness set-up dinner date.
Admission to In the Heat of the Night will include a four-course meal by their award-winning culinary team, an on-site photographer to capture all the magic, and romantic games throughout the night.
As mentioned, the night will feature a presentation on how animals show their love in the wild and how it differs (or doesn’t) from the way humans fall in love.
What’s even better is that the entire event is for adults only, so you won’t have to worry about children running around or knocking on exhibit windows.
As expected, their price is as expensive as the event sounds. Tickets are currently available for $115 each.
However, if you’re a member, you can receive a 10% discount.
For an overview, the night starts at 6:00 PM with dinner running from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and “Naughty Talk” taking place from 8:45 to 9:30 PM.
