Spark After Dark is back at Telus Spark Science Centre! This October 14, the museum will hold its event called Bon Appétit.
The program starts at 7 PM and ends at midnight. Open to adults aged 18 and above, you can expect a fun night with full bar service.
You can feel the fall vibes when you sample their apple-spiced cocktails with your friends. There’s also a beer sampling garden featuring local distilleries and breweries.
You can also enjoy an array of snacks provided by the Spark eatery and its culinary partners.
This includes their widely-famous astronaut ice cream that’s worth posting on your Instagram feed. There’s also various food from local vendors and restaurants at the specialty food market.
Other fun surprises include the chance to bond with furry friends from the Pet Access League Society, a human claw machine, egg races, and food games.
You can also learn the traditional way of making wine, i.e. stomping on large buckets of grapes!
This event is not only fun, but it’s also highly educational. There will be learning sessions with industry experts like keynote speaker Orsha Magyar from Neurotrition and Sean Campbell, who’s a mycologist.
A mycologist works with and studies fungi. Aside from learning sessions, there are also cooking demonstrations featuring dishes from both international and local cuisine.
You can also expect to listen to live music because they have an open mic and performances from DJ Chris Brennan and Joel Fraser.
