Kids and adults alike will enjoy the different Halloween-themed activities available at Heritage Park. They have magic shows, a spooky haunted house situated in Gunn’s Dairy Barn, and even two mad science shows in the Canmore Opera House.
Other attractions include ‘Tea in the Rabbit Hole’ where you can play croquet with your family and meet your favorite characters from Alice in Wonderland and the Pumpkin Patch where you can play games and meet their friendly scarecrow.
You can also enjoy other fun family activities like arts and crafts, carnival games, Monster Operation (which is a giant-sized version of the beloved board game Operation), cookie decorating, and listening to scary stories.
We also love that they have four street theatre shows prepared! Check out the table below for the show times and locations.

You can have access to all of these events for $14.99 for kids aged 3-15. For those aged 16 and above, tickets cost $19.95 per person.
All proceeds will go to Heritage Park, which is a registered charity. This ensures that Canada’s largest living history museum will stay in operation and help educate young Calgarians for the years to come.
Also, it’s not a Halloween event without candy! Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Claresholm General Store, the Scream Parlour, and the Trick or Treatery. If you want a more filling meal, check out the Boo-Loungerie, Bat Saloon, and the Club Café for some good eats.
Some reminders:
- The price of parking is not included in the ticket but it is available in the park. If you have Escape Annual Membership, you can enjoy free parking.
- There’s no dress code but you are encouraged to wear a costume. You’re also advised to dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes.
- Bring a flashlight if you can!
