Thai Express is quite popular in the city for hearty Thai dishes that never miss the mark. In fact, if you haven’t tried this in Calgary yet, then you’re definitely missing out.
Don’t miss out on their fresh spring rolls (the most obvious choice, we know), general thairacha (if you like it spicy), or the pad see ew.
That said, no matter what you get, you’ll probably enjoy them anyway, so feel free to go crazy! Just go easy on ordering spicy stuff if you have a sensitive stomach – you don’t want to deal with that on your flight.

Vin Room Restaurant is one of the best ways to spend your free hours in the airport. The ambiance of their restaurant is extremely relaxed without taking away its signature sophistication.
We urge you to try the Egg BLT from their breakfast menu or the Moroccan flatbread from their lunch and dinner menu. You won’t regret it.
4. Yakima Social Kitchen + Bar

Yakima is perfect for visitors who want a taste of real Canadian fine dining. Their plates are served with fresh and quality ingredients and their cocktails will also fascinate you.
Among their signature drinks, the adobo cesar is probably the most unforgettable. It’s concocted with many ingredients you won’t usually find in alcoholic beverages such as homemade beef jerky and adobo shrub.
5. Belgian Beer Café

As you’ve probably already guessed from the name, Belgian Beer Café is extremely popular for their Belgian brews. If you’re up for a quick drink before your flight, it’s recommended you try at least a bottle.
Their meals are equally delightful. Do you have a long flight ahead of you? Try their giant mixed brochette, which is a plate mixed with lamb chops, tenderloin steak, chicken breast, and a whole lot more.
If you’re looking for a lighter meal, however, the mushroom risotto would usually do the trick.

Codo Agave Social House provides a unique and upscale airport dining experience with their private dining. You can rent a pod where you can sit comfortably on a couch watching your favorite channel while you wait for your flight.
You can also sip on their signature tequila infused beverages for the ultimate experience.
If you have some time to kill, we recommend getting the seared salmon filet or the grilled allspice porkchop. Otherwise, you can always get one of their sandwiches such as the reuben sandwich or the black bean burger which is easy to consume on the go.
7. The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck

Get a chance to try the distinguished chef Wolfgang Puck’s delightful dishes here at The Kitchen. Their pork belly & scallop was definitely a showstopper for most of us at The Best Calgary. Having said that, the beef chow fun was the clear runner up.
Surprisingly, their meals aren’t as expensive as one would expect. For example, their wagyu burger only costs CA$26. For the taste and quality, we consider it a steal.
Needless to say, you can experience internationally recognized recipes without breaking the bank at The Kitchen.

Vino Volo is perfect for those looking to do some pre-flight drinks. They boast an amazing wine collection with a variety of options that come from different parts of the globe.
Though they focus on alcoholic beverages, they also offer small bites to accompany your wine of choice like a cured meats and butcher’s board (assortment of cheeses and meats).
9. Manchu Wok

Manchu Wok is perfect for hungry travelers who are in a hurry. They make their food pretty fast in their kitchen, so you don’t have to wait too long for your hunger to be appeased.
We really like their beef & broccoli which just so happens to be one of their recommended dishes. It’s made with tender sliced beef, broccoli, onions, and carrots.

Bistro on the Bow is a great spot to start your Calgarian adventure. Being located at the arrivals area, this is one of the top choices of people waiting for their loved ones to arrive or for travelers who just got off a long flight.
After all, nothing else makes us forget our own exhaustion as much pizza! We always enjoy getting either their prosciutto arugula or margherita pizza. And yes, they know how to craft crust to perfection.
Aside from pizzas, they also offer salads, sandwiches, and all-day breakfast options.
11. Deville Coffee

Deville Coffee might just be one of the comfiest spots in the Calgary International Airport. Their cafe is extremely inviting, which just makes it irresistible to get a cup of coffee.
Otherwise, there’s always the smell of coffee wafting through the air and once you get a whiff of that, we all know it’s over. Next thing you know, you’re already sipping on your second latte.
Speaking of lattes, that’s one of our top recommendations aside from the caramel latte and drip coffee. If you like it really sweet though, we’re pretty sure the Nutella latte is what you’re looking for.
