Alumni Sandwiches treats their customers to a wide array of sandwich options with top-notch flavors. Their hot chicken is definitely worth the hype and recommended for first time Alumni visitors. You can choose from among 4 spicy levels – quarter, half, full, and extra.
Additionally, the rosemary beef dip is an unforgettable order. It comes with an eye of round, sandwich sauce, mushroom, mozzarella, arugula, and rosemary au jus, nestled in a hero roll.

PB & J offers a diverse range of items, most of which play with peanut butter (sometimes almond butter or cashew butter) to elevate the flavors.
Fear not, however, because not everything sounds as sweet as you would expect. Take the herb & cheese sandwich, for instance. It’s made with their freshly ground almond butter with lovely additions of cream cheese, walnuts, toasted sesame, and herbs.
Of course, they also have other options that don’t have peanut butter or its alternatives – including Dan’s grilled cheese and eggalicious sandwich.

Spolumbo’s Fine Foods & Deli is a gem of an establishment that focuses on quality sausages and sandwiches.
They have two sandwich categories, namely classic deli sandwiches and Italian cold cuts. For the former, the reuben earns the top rank among their many adoring customers – and rightfully so.
Splumbo’s special is the most raved-about in terms of their cold cuts. Though that’s also our top choice, we can’t help but also recommend another top contender – the prosciutto ham.

Meltwich Food Co. is a popular chain with multiple stores all over Canada. They’re most known for their grilled cheese, which has 9 variations to choose from.
The southern fried chicken melt and the grilly steak are definitely our standout choices. By the way, they also have tasty plant-based options, leaving our vegan and vegetarian friends plenty of alternatives!

While their menu isn’t as extensive as one would hope, Meat and Bread provides well-curated options that come in unique flavors you won’t stop raving about.
One of their more unexpected flavors, the eggplant parmesan, made us view the vegetable in a totally different light. With the additions of kale, tomato sauce, and parmesan aioli, it became an instant favorite. Definitely try it when you get the chance.

Cowtown Beef Shack specializes in AAA Alberta beef but they do other meats right too: the smoked pulled pork definitely captured our hearts.
If the way to a foodie’s heart is through their stomach, then Cowtown definitely does their job well.

Located in close proximity to the famous Bow River, Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine stands on a surprisingly unassuming red brick building. Don’t be fooled, though: their food is anything but dull.
