Their menu is divided into two different categories – day and night. Our recommended food item from the day menu is the plant bowl. It’s made with falafel, beets, carrots, squash, greens, toasted pumpkin, and sunflower seeds drizzled with a creamy tahini dressing. 

Meanwhile, we like the ahi tuna Niçoise salad the most from the dinner menu. It’s gluten-free and dairy free! Aside from delicious food, they also have an assortment of alcoholic beverages.

Globefish is an izakaya in the Marda Loop neighbourhood, which basically means it’s a spot where guests can get comfortable while dining and drinking. 

If you’re a Japanese cuisine aficionado visiting Calgary, it’s a must to add them to your itinerary. 

Anyway, we appreciate the wide variety of dishes here. We highly recommend those under their crunchy rolls menu, especially if you appreciate texture just as much as taste. 

We suggest getting the crispy spicy salmon and the cat’s eye. The latter is made with salmon and prawn tempura along with an assortment of ingredients that make it mouthwatering!

Sammie Cafe is a quaint restaurant filled with lovely decorations. They have a lot of addicting dishes on their menu, which makes it almost impossible to make a one-time visit. Our most-recommended food items are the truffled mushroom beef burger and mango french toast.

900 Degree Pizza offers unique pizza flavors worth trying. We say this after devouring a 14-inch bacon double cheeseburger pizza made with delicious Canadian beef.

Neighbour Coffee is a charming little coffee shop in the Marda Loop neighbourhood known for the delicious bites and aromatic coffee. 

The cozy space lets a lot of sunlight in, which attracts a lot of locals looking for a place to hang. It’s pretty quiet here most of the time, so you’ll be able to spot several people working on their laptops, more often than not. 

Their cold brew is what we recommend most, but the interesting turmeric coconut latte comes in a close second.

Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters is well known for their interesting food creations, but of course, their coffee is also worth the hype. 

Our favorite drinks from their menu are the iced dulce and vanilla bean latte. If you’re up for a quick meal, we highly recommend ordering the egg sandwich or the grilled cheese!  Their donuts are also quite popular in the neighbourhood.

Another cozy addition to the Marda Loop area is the Monogram Coffee. Their shop is small, but it always feels bright and warm, which attracts quite a crowd. It’s a suitable place to work or to have intimate conversations with long time friends or with a date. 

In our opinion, their most delicious drink is the condensed milk latte, which is why we order it as much as we can. If you’re not a huge fan of sweet drinks however, try one of their pour overs.
