1. Nini’s Cooking Academy

Address: Woodcliff United Church 5010 Spruce Drive SW
Contact: 5877974545 | [email protected]
Hours: Summer Camp Programs Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
If you want a program that perfectly matches your child’s age group rather than lumping toddlers and teenagers together, Nini’s Cooking Academy is a dream come true.
They divide their sessions into custom brackets like Petit Chefs Junior for the five-to-eight crowd and specialized global cooking tracks for older kids.
Every single camp fee covers a fully cooked lunch and all necessary ingredients, which takes a ton of planning stress off your shoulders.
The lessons do an incredible job of building kitchen confidence and nutritional literacy, teaching kids to love home-cooked food. They even do their best to accommodate specific food allergies if you let them know ahead of time.
Just keep in mind that they enforce an exceptionally tight ninety-day cancellation window for their summer camps, which can be tricky if your seasonal family plans shift unexpectedly.
Interactive Pasta Party for Kids
Nini’s cooking/pasta birthday party was definitely a hit! The kids had so much fun making their own pasta from scratch. Everyone enjoyed cracking eggs, rolling dough, chopping onions, and preparing the pasta sauce, and of course, tasting their delicious homemade pasta. It was a unique, interactive party that left everyone with big smiles and full bellies. Perfect for any little chef!

Fun Summer Camp with Healthy Recipes
My 8 year old son attended Top Chef Sizzle n Slice summer camp for the first time. He had an amazing time learning new skills and making delicious and healthy recipes around the world from scratch for lunch and more to take home to share. The cooking competition at the end was so exciting for the kids to present their creations. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and we’ll be back. Chef Kay was the best! Thank you so much!

2. Chef Joey

Website: https://chefjoey.ca/private-cooking-events/kids-cooking-classes
Address: 134 Glamis Terrace SW
Contact: (403) 616 -6878 | [email protected]
Hours: Available 24/7
For families who prefer a dynamic environment where children jump right into the action, Chef Joey is a standout. They operate a mobile and kitchen-based service where the core philosophy revolves around total immersion.
This means young chefs are actively chopping, searing, and plating within the first ten minutes instead of passively watching a demonstration.
The lessons are entirely structured around scratch cooking rather than simple food decoration. Children learn real techniques using kid-safe tools under close supervision.
And I like that the classes can even be brought directly to your home venue.
However, if you opt for a remote digital session, you have to handle the grocery shopping yourself using a pre-sent checklist.
Additionally, the in-person pricing structure starts at a premium rate per child, which might impact smaller party budgets.
Patient and Fun Virtual Cooking Class
My kids had a blast participating in the virtual cooking class! Chef Joey was patient and funny. The instructions and ingredients list were clear and the entire experience was very positive. They want to do a class again soon. Excellent value, highly recommend!

Developing a genuine, deep connection to food involves much more than memorizing a checklist of steps. Savorra Culinary Academy offers an exceptional summer program that shifts the educational focus toward total culinary comprehension.
They focus on encouraging children to deeply understand the reasoning behind each technique rather than blindly following instructions.
My own niece attended a session here last year, and she loved discovering major global cuisines through a rotating daily menu that featured entirely scratch-made dishes.
The fully supervised environment is perfect for building lifelong habits like keeping work areas clean and practicing proper knife handling.
Parents should note that the academy limits their youth day camps to a narrow age range of eight to twelve years old. On top of that, the weekly tuition fee represents a substantial financial investment for families.

Blue Flame Kitchen Café is an expansive learning center that specializes in accommodating flexible skill levels.
They ensure that complete beginners and advanced teen enthusiasts feel equally supported during their two-and-a-half-hour culinary challenge.
Instruction is entirely led by certified Red Seal chefs who provide step-by-step guidance using top-tier commercial equipment.
It’s also an incredibly convenient option since the facility supplies all necessary tools, groceries, and aprons for the participants.
Just keep in mind that individual registrations aren’t available here because they enforce a strict minimum group size of twelve kids per session. Organizers must also supply a few adult chaperones to remain on-site to help supervise the timeline.
Online Cooking Classes for Kids and Adults
Updated review (May 2022): Enjoying the reheat-at-home Mother’s Day Brunch as I write this. SIMPLY AMAZING! The salad, quiche, crepes and mint strawberries were all very unique and delicious. Would love to have this brunch again. Thanks, Blue Flame Kitchen Cafe, and keep up the good work! Original review:Awesome food. Takeout and reheat-at-home dishes are available during this COVID19 madness. Super tasty. Also, their online cooking classes are great. It’s a good choice for kids or adults to learn new skills or recipes.

Hours: Monday to Saturday – 10 am to 6 pm | Sunday – 12 pm to 5 pm | See the full schedule of classes
Teenagers who want to seriously level up their kitchen capability need a program that goes far beyond simple cookie decorating.
Operating out of a vibrant downtown space, The Cookbook Co. Cooks delivers exceptional culinary instruction led by a roster of expert chef-instructors and local cookbook authors.
The youth camps focus on advanced, hands-on techniques such as roasting, braising, and baking entirely from scratch. It provides a phenomenal way for older youths to build real practical capability while navigating kitchen safety under watchful eyes.
Allergies and dietary restrictions can be easily reviewed with the team before booking, which I love.
However, securing a spot can be a bit of an administrative hassle since the reservation process is handled strictly by phone or in person. Their cancellation timeline is also incredibly unforgiving, offering zero refunds if you cancel within five days.
Amazing Kids’ Cooking Camp
Amazing Kid’s Cooking Camp! I have been to amazing cooking classes at the Cookbook Co and found out they had a kids camp! So I signed my daughter up. It was fabulous and she loved it! In any other camp you have pack snacks and a lunch and with this camp, the kids brought food home! haha! Highly recommend! They made a lot of different food and even had some outdoor activities each day. This is a camp I would have totally loved to go to!
