If you are interested in cooking dishes and baking pastries for your family and friends but still lack the confidence and skill to do so, you’re at the right place!

In this article, we prepared a list of the best cooking classes in Calgary to make you the best chef you can be. Scroll down to read about these cooking classes!

How Much Do Cooking Classes Cost in Calgary?

You might want to check out the average price for cooking lessons here in Calgary. These prices aren’t the same for every class so it’s better to contact them yourself and get the exact cost of your class.

ServiceAverage Cost
Group lessons$25 – $60 per hour
Private lessons$35 – $90 per hour

For in-person classes, the rates tend to be higher because they provide a venue as well as all the tools and ingredients.

For virtual classes, they tend to be a lot cheaper but you’ll have to have your own tools and ingredients. Usually, they either send in a meal prep kit with all the ingredients or a grocery list detailing everything you’ll need.

The Best Cooking Classes in Calgary

We took a look at all the cooking classes in Calgary and found that we were able to put together a list of the best cooking classes in Calgary based on the following criteria:

Type of classes, meaning virtual, in-person, or both so you get to choose whether you want to learn from the comforts of your own home or in a professional kitchen

Low-stress, easy to work with, professional

“Chef Joey and his lovely wife Petrina came to our home to host an in-person cooking class as a birthday surprise.  They put some menu options in front of me, I made a few straightforward choices, and they took care of the rest and brought EVERYTHING required.  All very fun, low stress, easy to work with but also professional and organized.  Chef and Petrina are great company, Chef is a great teacher in the kitchen, and the whole thing was an absolute delight.  And yes — the food was incredible.  5-stars+ !!”  -Rob
