The Top 5 Places for Stylish Maternity Clothes in Calgary

Customer Reviews: I scoured online reviews and listened to testimonials from expectant mothers in the Calgary area to determine which maternity stores were providing the best products and services.

Product Range: A great maternity store needs to cater to the diverse needs of pregnant women.

I looked for shops that offer a wide variety of styles and sizes. This includes options ranging from casual everyday wear to formal dresses and everything in between.

Shopping Experience: I aimed to find maternity stores that made the shopping experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

I considered factors such as helpful, knowledgeable staff and convenient locations. We gave bonus points if they had easy return policies.

Sustainability: I gave extra consideration to maternity stores that used eco-friendly materials, employed ethical manufacturing practices, and demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility.

A few weeks ago, my 4-months-pregnant friend had a big work event coming up but didn’t have a single maternity outfit that screamed classy, confident, and boss-like.

She asked me to go shopping with her in hopes of finding a nice outfit. However, the only thing we could find were tent-like dresses that made her look like she was wearing a muumuu.

Seeing my friend struggle to find stylish and well-fitting options, it occurred to me that other expecting mothers might have the same difficulties.

To save them the headache of hopping from store to store, I asked around for recommendations, scoured reviews online, and checked out several stores in the city.

After all that digging, here are all the best places for maternity clothes in Calgary that every expecting mother should know about.

How much does it cost to get maternity clothes in Calgary?

It costs at least 20 CAD to get maternity clothes in Calgary. The cost will vary depending on the clothing brand, the quality of clothes, and more.

Absolutely affordable

“Dragonfly Maternity is a clothing store by day, yoga and education studio by night. The owner, Cher, is a sweetheart who really cares about what she does. Other staff members I’ve spoken to were always very friendly. On the clothing side, I’ve found great items, both while I was pregnant and now as a breastfeeding mom. Absolutely affordable compared to other consignment shops I’ve been to. They also have new children’s items and other goodies for parents. Well worth it for stocking up on your maternity needs. I’ve also been to a prenatal yoga class, as well as their Birthing with Intention seminar. Both were great experiences and if you’re looking for a space of belonging and comfort, their studio would be my number one pick. I’ll have to try one of their yoga for moms sessions, but I have no doubt it’d be great.”

Definitely worth a trip if you’re pregnant

“I’ve been to Baby & Me Maternity twice now for maternity clothes and I will continue to go back there thanks to the amazing customer service by Josie. When I went in my first time, I had no idea what to look for or what size I might need and Josie was so patient, kind and helpful – it made for a wonderful experience. I went back this weekend and Josie remembered me, welcomed me back and helped me navigating sizing once again as my body continues to change. I love that Baby & Me offers consignment as well as brand new items. Definitely worth a trip if you’re pregnant or in your post partum phase. Thank you Josie for all your help!”

It’s a maternity clothing paradise

“Great selection, fair prices, amazing sales, it’s a maternity clothing paradise! I’m not a fan of buying from big box fast fashion stores, so I love knowing I’m supporting local here. Additionally, it’s painful to spend big $$ on clothing you know you can’t wear very long, so the prices here make it a joy to shop for maternity clothes. I’ve also always had lovely interactions with whomever is working every time I’ve gone in. I don’t see the need to shop anywhere else for maternity clothing!”

Would highly recommend this store for maternity wear, nursing-friendly options, and baby items/gifts!”

All very helpful and patient

“The staff at this location are all very helpful and patient. We visited this location a few times before we deciding on the stroller and others baby items. Cindy was the staff that helped us a few times and has provided good information on the questions we have on the products. She was very patient with us even though it took us a few visits to decide. Really appreciate her help! The store also provides in person infant CPR training. As first time parents, we find it useful. There is a fee for the training session but you can get a discount on items in store after the training.”
