The Top Furnished Apartments in Calgary for Easy Living

Location: We wanted apartments that were close to downtown, public transport, and local hotspots. Being in the heart of the action really makes a difference!

Comfort and Style: We looked for places that not only had comfortable furniture but also a stylish vibe.

Amenities Galore: Extra perks like a gym, pool, or rooftop terrace were big draws. Who doesn’t love a spot to unwind after a long day?

Flexibility and Convenience: Short-term lease options and included utilities make life easier for people who might be relocating or just in town for a while.

Finding the perfect place to stay can be a challenge, especially when life throws you a curveball. I experienced this when I had to vacate my home because of a major plumbing disaster a few years back.

I thought I’d play it safe and opt for a furnished apartment, hoping for a hassle-free experience. Instead, I was greeted by a cramped space that felt more like a storage unit than a home.

Plus, the Wi-Fi was spotty, the heating system was temperamental, and let’s just say my neighbours weren’t exactly friendly.

It was a frustrating few weeks that made me realize how important it is to find a place that truly feels like home, even when you’re temporarily uprooted.

That less-than-stellar experience motivated me to save others from dealing with a similar situation, hence this list. So, whether you’re in town for work or just need a place to stay, here’s what made it onto our top furnished apartments in Calgary.

How much does it cost to stay at a furnished apartment in Calgary?

It costs at least 100 CAD per night to stay at a furnished apartment in Calgary. The cost will vary depending on the length of your stay, the apartment, the amenities included, and more.

Corporate Stays Calgary offers nightly stays and monthly rentals at their Underwood and Sodo complexes.

We checked out both places and were honestly tempted to stay a night or two.

The Underwood is right in the heart of the vibrant Beltline district, so all of their rooms boast amazing views of the city skyline and Haultain Park.

Plus, the rooftop terrace on the 30th floor is so dreamy. It’s no wonder why everyone raved about it.

And if you’re into fitness, you’ll love the gym and yoga studio on-site.

The Sodo complex is just as good. It comes with a private gym with steam showers, a cozy game room with a 70″ TV, and even a retro arcade system.

At both places, though, the kitchens are fully equipped with brand-new Whirlpool stainless steel appliances. In addition, the bedrooms are clean, which adds to the overall comfort and appeal.

What’s more, many guests we’ve interviewed appreciate the in-suite washer and dryer.

However, a few people we spoke to mentioned they had trouble getting quick responses from management, with some waiting days for a callback.

Pros

  • Underwood:
  • Great location
  • Amazing views
  • Rooftop terrace
  • On-site gym
  • Yoga studio
  • Sodo:
  • Private gym
  • Game room
  • Arcade
  • Both:
  • Fully equipped kitchens
  • Clean bedrooms
  • In-suite laundry

Cons

  • Slow response from management

ExecSuite’s apartments at ExecSuite Tower and Mount Royal Townhomes are fantastic options for both business travellers and families.

When we visited ExecSuite Tower, each unit had everything you need for everyday life, including a fully stocked kitchen and a comfy living area. Plus, these units are an easy walk from downtown.

The highlight would undoubtedly be the stunning balcony views of Prince’s Island Park, and for good reason.

We chatted with guests during our visit, and the biweekly housekeeping service was a hit. It lets everyone focus on work or relaxation instead of chores.

Guests also raved about the complimentary wireless internet, which made late-night work sessions a breeze. What’s more, the on-site fitness centre was great for squeezing in workouts before meetings.

If you’re after something more spacious, check out the Mount Royal Townhomes. We toured a stunning three-bedroom home and were wowed by the upscale furnishings and smart design.

The formal living and dining areas are perfect for entertaining, and the private backyard is a nice spot to unwind. Families we spoke to loved the option for a complimentary crib and high chair upon request.

Just a heads up: the Mount Royal Townhomes have a three-month minimum rental period.

Pros

  • ExecSuite Tower:
  • Balcony views
  • Walking distance from downtown
  • Biweekly housekeeping

Outstanding short/longterm accommodation

“ExecSuite is definitely one of Calgary’s outstanding short/longterm accommodation locations. The staff are all customer focused and go out of their way to make your stay very pleasant and comfortable. The front end staff all make you feel very welcomed and very much at home. Housekeeping is thorough and very responsive to individual requests. The maintenance manager is outstanding. The location is ideal for getting around the downtown core. We highly recommend.”

The apartment is very quiet and comfortable

“We are staying in the tower on top floor and love the location and everyone that works there. The bldg. Is kept exceptionally clean and everyone is friendly and employees could not be more attentive to your needs. We moved in at the end of June expecting a summer term but it has been so great living there we hate to leave. It has a small kitchen and dining area but the bedroom is huge and the apartment is very quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. I think we will be here until we find a place we want to make our permanent address. The location is great, walking distance to so much and having the park and river walkway almost outside the door is fantastic, we walk everywhere. Would like to Thank everyone at 702 3rd Ave for making our stay so pleasant 😊”

Operating hours: Tuesday to Friday – 9 AM to 5 PM

The George’s stylish, fully furnished apartments combine comfort and flair. You can choose from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units, making it perfect for solo travellers or families.

Each apartment we saw had premium kitchenware, like elegant Oneida flatware and gorgeous Le Creuset pots. It definitely feels like a luxurious home rather than a temporary stay.

The floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry, integrated appliances, and under-counter LED lighting create a modern vibe that’s both functional and inviting. Plus, the Caesarstone countertops are a nice touch that really elevates the kitchen.

The engineered flooring is not only sleek but also durable, perfect for those travelling with pets or kids. The ultra-quiet stacked washer and dryer is a big bonus for longer stays.

For comfort, each apartment has heating and air conditioning controlled by a Nest thermostat, so you can easily set the perfect temperature.

The bathrooms are just as impressive and feature Kohler Wellbrook tubs that are great for unwinding after a long day.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that management can be a bit slow to respond to emails. Several of their clients mentioned this, and we had the same experience when we tried to visit.

Pros

  • Premium kitchenware
  • Modern design
  • Durable flooring
  • Comfortable amenities
  • Nest thermostat
  • Kohler tubs

Cons

  • Slow response from management

Very nice comfortable furniture

“Lived here for quite some time now. The building is well-maintained. The condos are well appointed with very nice comfortable furniture and modern stylings.  It’s a solid building at a great price.”

The furnishings in the apartment were beautiful

“Stayed at The George for a short term stay, awesome location with pretty much everything is in walking distance. Excellent management, always responded quickly when I had any concerns or problems, and was really easy to contact. All utilities including Cable and Internet were included which is a huge bonus, and the furnishings in the apartment were beautiful. I would highly recommend these rentals for any short term and long term leases as there is nothing else like these suites in downtown Calgary.”

Urban Suites nails it with their flexible check-in and check-out times.

Plus, the apartments are fully equipped for a comfy stay. Each suite even has a cozy fireplace that’s perfect for those chilly nights!

We checked out their one-bedroom and den suite in the Riverfront Ave building on our recent trip, and the west city view was stunning!

At 900 sq. ft., the place was super inviting and spacious, which is just what you need after a day of exploring.

The scene-stealer? It’s definitely the huge balcony!

At 15 ft. x 5 ft., it’s the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the gorgeous Calgary skyline. We could see ourselves sipping our morning coffee there and winding down with a glass of wine in the evening.

Sure, Urban Suites has a lot going for it, like their affordable rates. However, we did hit a small snag: getting someone on the phone at first was a bit tricky.

Pros

  • Flexible check-in & check-out
  • Cozy fireplaces
  • Spacious suites
  • Stunning views
  • Affordable rates

Cons

  • Difficulty contacting staff

Towels, cutlery, coffee machine, toaster etc everything is there

Rented suite 105 19th avenue SW for 6 months. Elaine Evans is a great person to deal with. She has such a good taste in furniture and interior designing which is one reason everyone that came to my place had once compliment in common“ this place has a character and royal vintage feel. Towels, cutlery, coffee machine, toaster etc everything is there, trust me whatever you pay her you are still saving 1000 bucks by not buying daily household stuff which is already there in the suite. Never bothered me for 6 months, gave my deposit back without any serious inspection and is 24 hour available for your problems. I RECOMMEND ELAINE EVANS AND URBAN SUITE. Good luck guys”

Vikram Katodia, Google Review

The room is comfortable and very quiet

“Elaine was eager to get me settled in a soon as possible. She rode with me and showed me my allotted parking, with lots of space. She helped me carry some of my bags up to my room. She showed me where the garbage and recycle was. A tour of the room followed and I was on my way to settling in. The security in the building is very good. 2 security points to get from outside through the garage to my room. 3 security points to get from the sidewalk entrance to my room. The room is comfortable and very quiet. The unit is very clean as well. It is very close to where I work down on 5th Ave, an 8 minute walk. Elaine is quick to respond to emails / texts. Having a fully furnished suite / laundry / kitchen accessories was so helpful. The furniture is in great shape and has been well looked after. I have no complaints whatsoever about this well cared for unit.”

Operating hours: Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 5 PM

The apartments at Bedouin Suites come with all the essentials. This includes air conditioning and personal thermostats.

To top it off, they even have fully stocked kitchens complete with a dishwasher, microwave, and stove.

Honestly, it’s got everything you need to feel right at home.

The spacious balconies were definitely our favorite feature. They offer some seriously amazing views of both the city and the waterfront, making them the perfect spot to unwind.

The building itself has a great vibe, too. With a fitness room, social lounge, and friendly on-site staff, you really get that community feel during your stay.

In fact, we met several guests who had been there for months, and they raved about the convenience store right in the building. It’s perfect for those late-night snack cravings!

Plus, dealing with utilities is a breeze since water and heat are included in the rent. That’s a big win for anyone trying to stick to a budget.

Just a heads up, though—if you’re driving, parking will set you back $100 for the first stall, and it costs more for additional ones.

And if you’ve got pets, you’ll need to make other arrangements since they’re not allowed here.

Pros

  • Spacious balconies with great views
  • Excellent amenities
  • Convenient store in the building
  • Water and heat included in the rent

Cons

  • Expensive parking
  • No pets allowed

Customer Reviews

The building and units themselves are beautiful

My wife and I stayed here as our first time renting. The Bedouin team have always been very communicative and clear, which made it very helpful for us to understand the process of renting. We had a great experience, and were very sad to leave, but just left feeling grateful for the whole experience. The building and units themselves are beautiful, and it shows how well everything is maintained. Their building cleaners do a great job, and the multiple concierge that are there are all great. It’s a great location, and there’s really a lot to love about staying here”

Anthony Munoz, Google Reviews

The place was luxurious

“I stayed at bedouin suites for 3 years. I truly had a wonderful stay. The place was luxurious, quite and comfortable. The built in TV stand with was very convenient. The view to the Bow River Valley was outstanding and breathtaking. The music at the elevator lobby was calming and welcoming as if you were in a five star hotel. I never had any issues with the suite or the appliances. Everything worked perfectly! The concierge was very helpful and always there for us. Anne-Marie and Nick were very professional and responsive. The location in the heart of downtown was very convenient to my workplace and for biking. I recommended this place to a friend that also had a positive experience and loved the place!! I’d continue to recommend this place to anyone going to stay in Calgary!”
