First, note that there’s only one route to take when driving to Kelowna from Calgary. It’s a long ride, so buckle up and fuel up your car until the tank’s full!

Step 1: Head over to Trans-Canada Highway

Traverse the road headed to Trans-Canada Highway/AB-1 W and continue down the path until you take exit 50. 

Step 2: Take Exit 50

Once you take exit 50, drive towards AB-93 S in Improvement District No. 9. The total distance for this leg is 145 km and should take approximately 1 hour and 24 minutes.

Step 3: Drive along BC-93 S and BC-95

Continue along BC-93 S and BC-95 until you reach Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 located in Golden. This should take about 2 hours and 20 minutes. 

Once you find yourself on Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 W, merge onto it and continue driving for about 218 km, which should take approximately 2 hours and 23 minutes.

Step 4: Drive along Vernon-Sicamous Hwy

That was a long journey, but you’re almost there! Take the Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S until you reach Bernard Avenue in Kelowna. From there, you should be able to explore Kelowna as much as you want!
