I’ve got a bit of an embarrassing story to share. So my folks have a pretty nice garden with tons of trees, and my nephew got his kite stuck in one. As the cool uncle who hikes, I had the task of going up and getting it. I get on a branch…and it snaps.

Getting a tree service to come out in Calgary can set you back anywhere from $200 to $1500, depending on whether a tree needs to be pruned or removed, the size of the tree, and if any stumps need to be ground down after.

One tree service most homeowners might know of is tree removal. Trees can fall for any reason, ranging from disease to natural weather conditions, and Titan Tree Services stood out as a local favorite for clearing these quickly and cleanly.
The first thing that stood out to us was the pricing! The only thing that matches a tree’s size is the price to get them trimmed or removed, so most customers we spoke to were happy to report Titan Tree’s services being pretty budget-friendly.
Of course, we asked about the quality of the service as well and heard quite a lot of praise for their attention to detail. The team was reportedly pretty good at spotting rotting branches and any problem areas, treating them accordingly.
This attentiveness also extended to the after-service. Clients readily mentioned the team spending ample time cleaning up the site afterward, ensuring all leaves are swept up, and branches are kept out of the way.
With that in mind, one last piece of advice some customers left with us was to follow up with the team on the schedule of your tree service. Some reported cases where their appointment dates could get delayed on short notice.

When it comes to tree services in Calgary, it’s hard not to mention Adair Tree Care. With a presence in the area since 1997, we sure weren’t surprised when locals happily brought them up to us as a reliable starting point for burgeoning arborists.
Right off the jump, we immediately heard praise for the team’s communication! Regulars we got to chat with had largely good things to say about the recommendations given by the team on how to best take care of their trees, before and after service.
This communication extended to the day of the service as well. Many mentioned being able to freely consult with the team while they were on-site, with the team also explaining their process every step of the way.
Of course, no two gardens are the same. Luckily, customers were happy to assure us that the team was pretty flexible with requests as well, helping customers keep the look of their garden without worrying about making modifications for the service.
That being said, a few regulars mentioned there being a pretty long wait to get your services scheduled due to the high volume of work, making it tricky to book them for an emergency.

Like any plant, trees can be a little intimidating to diagnose unless you’ve already got a green thumb. We had that fact in mind when on our search for tree services, and boy, were we pretty happy when Green Drop Tree Care landed on our radar.
We appreciated how quick their team was to respond to our inquiries, first and foremost! They had answers for us within a fairly short timeframe after we reached out, and customers we spoke to were happy to back this experience up as well.
From here, we got to hear about the team’s process through their services, from tree planting to removal. Their tree health consultations were also a highlight, as the team helped customers a better understand any diseases their trees might have.
Finally, customers were also happy to praise their timeliness. The team reportedly arrived on the day of service pretty quickly and finished quickly as well, without sacrificing the attention to detail needed during the service.
On the other hand, some customers reported there being longer waiting times for follow-up services compared to initial bookings. Following up with the team on their availability is definitely recommended.

Well, this one takes the cake for catchy names! The Jolly Loggers Tree Care Service got pretty popular among those looking for speedy tree services, so we couldn’t resist swinging by to see the fuss for ourselves!
Right off the jump, we immediately noticed their scheduling process. Regulars we spoke to mentioned these being pretty streamlined, and with many slots available, scheduling and rescheduling were notably quick and easy as well.
The same timeliness also extended to their price quotes, which reportedly arrived quickly after initial inquiries. These were also pretty clearly outlined and transparent, helping customers plan a budget.
When we asked about the quality of the service, customers were happy to highlight the team’s ability to give advice! They reportedly provided ample recommendations on how to best care for the tree after proper pruning and trimming.
However, we did note that the company’s service times can take quite a while compared to other arborists. We’d keep this one in mind to book for a day when you’re sure someone can be at your house, just in case.

What immediately caught our attention was the communication. The team responded quickly and were happy to sit down with us to answer any questions we might have, letting us know of their coverage, process, and schedule.
Customers we got to chat with praise the team’s flexibility with requests as well, both before and during the services. It was reportedly pretty easy to have them scheduled, and the pricing was similarly negotiable too.
Finally, their attention to safety during service also drew quite some praise! Trees can be pretty hazardous to work around if you’re not careful, so this kind of care was definitely a plus in our book.
