Putt Your Way to Fun at the 4 Best Mini Golf in Calgary

Themes: I looked for courses with a unique theme or a fun, welcoming atmosphere that caters to all ages. Courses with themes like pirate ships, dinosaur jungles, or even spooky haunted house vibes stood out.

Course Design and Difficulty: I focused on courses with creative holes, interesting obstacles, and a mix of difficulty levels. I also considered layouts that were engaging and visually appealing.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: I paid attention to the condition of the putting greens, the cleanliness of the surrounding areas, and the overall upkeep of the facilities.

Reviews: I checked online reviews, social media posts, and word-of-mouth recommendations to get a sense of what others had experienced at the course.

As much as I love a good round of golf, it’s tough to fit in when you’re wrangling little ones who have more energy than a pack of squirrels on caffeine.

That’s where mini golf comes in. Thank goodness for mini golf—the kids can have fun, and I can get some practice in.

But let me tell you, I’ve been to some truly terrible courses—ones with boring and overcrowded greens.

Those less-than-ideal experiences led me to search for the best mini-golf courses in Calgary. I’ve explored a few spots around town and even nailed a few hole-in-ones.

Here’s a roundup of my favorite mini golf spots, perfect for all ages.

How much does it cost to play mini golf in Calgary?

It costs at least 13 CAD to play a round of mini golf in Calgary. This cost is just an estimate. The actual price depends on the course, the time of day, and more.

The coolest part about Monster Mini Golf is the glow-in-the-dark art. It’s locally inspired and hand-painted, and it gives the course a unique feel.

I love the black light lamps and disco balls they have throughout the course. There’s even a DJ playing out music in the background—it’s fun for the kids and adults.

The course itself is really well-designed. It stays true to the monster theme, featuring haunted decor and cool obstacles around the 18-hole course.

The monsters themselves talk and make noises as you play—not going to lie, it was impressive. The kids loved it!

But I especially enjoyed all the funky slopes, challenging tunnels, and slanted holes. They truly designed the course for adult golf players who appreciate a challenge.

They also have a great arcade area. It features popular prize ticket games like glowing air hockey, skee ball, and more.

Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful. They enhance the experience by offering assistance and answering questions.

The only downside for me was the crowd on Saturday night when I visited. It took a while to get a tee time, which was a bit frustrating.

Pros

  • Glow-in-the-dark art
  • Fun atmosphere
  • Well-designed 18-hole course
  • Offers challenging layout
  • Great arcade
  • Friendly staff

Cons

  • Crowds on busy nights

Fun and well-designed mini golf course

“Fantastic Birthday Party Experience at Monster Mini Golf! We recently celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Monster Mini Golf, and it was an amazing experience! Our daughter and her friends had an unforgettable time. The mini golf course was fun and well-designed, and the kids absolutely loved it. The highlight of the day was the interactive games led by our host, Lucas, who kept everyone engaged and entertained throughout the event. A huge thank you to Lucas for being such an incredible host and making the day special for all the kids. The atmosphere was lively, and everything ran smoothly, which made for a stress-free celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host the party. Highly recommend Monster Mini Golf for any birthday or group event!”

Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday – 9 AM to 7 PM

At Stone Creek Adventure Golf, the 18-hole course truly stood out to me. It’s a field with creative, spaced-out, and challenging holes.

One hole requires you to hit the ball through a tunnel. Another will have you navigate around a giant tree trunk.

I also enjoyed the relaxing, nature-abundant atmosphere. I appreciated how the surrounding trees provided a shady spot when I needed a break. The koi ponds were a peaceful touch, too.

The staff was also efficient and helpful. I appreciated the brief tour of the course, along with a few golfing tips they offered.

However, the parking was a nightmare. The parking lot is far too small. I was worried that my car might get hit in those tight spaces.

Pros

  • Creative 18-hole course
  • Nature-filled environment
  • Efficient staff

Cons

  • Limited parking

Great for all ages

“Been here a few times throughout the years, great mini golf experience. It has a concrete foundation with a nice natural growth to it. It’s a throwback pioneer like style to the old west with a train, themes and a grain elevator. 18 holes, some level of difficulty though great for all ages. There’s running water which is lovely and koi fish in the pond. Pricing is fine, it’s a good time that’s about a half hour. Would easily recommend, perhaps the best mini golf spot in the city”

– Jason Stettner, Google Reviews

Reasonable prices

Went late August with our kids and had a fantastic time!  The holes are nicely laid out.  Prices were reasonable.  Even tiny golf clubs for the two year old.  We’d recommend!

For me, the most striking feature of Speeders Calgary Chinook’s mini golf course is its immersive racing theme.

Each of the twelve holes presents a cleverly designed challenge inspired by iconic racing moments.

I especially appreciated the interactive elements. For example, one hole featured a ramp that sent my ball careening down a track, mimicking a high-speed curve.

Another hole had a clever pitstop design. I had to navigate around miniature tire stacks. These interactive elements added genuine strategic fun to the gameplay.

Aside from that, the themed decor—from checkered flags to miniature racing cars—helped complete the immersive atmosphere.

The LED lighting was also a fantastic touch. I loved how it made the course glow at night, making even a missed shot feel a little less disappointing.

While the course was fantastic, the staff could have been more attentive. I had a few questions about the rules and scoring but had to track someone down to ask.

Pros

  • Immersive racing theme
  • Cleverly designed holes
  • Interactive elements
  • Themed decor
  • LED lighting

Cons

  • Unattentive staff

Cute and fun-themed mini golf

10/10 would come again

“Super dope place, would recommend to anyone wanting a fun place to hangout. The arcades are great mini golf is fun and the racing is a lot of fun, lots of up hills and down hiss which makes it so much more enjoyable. 10/10 would come again.”

Golf Future’s 9-hole mini golf course features well-maintained carpeting. The holes offer a good challenge for both adults and kids.

However, the course could benefit from updated landscaping in a few areas. Some of the plants appeared overgrown.

Regardless, I really appreciated the friendly staff. They were always quick to greet me with a smile and eager to answer any questions I had.

Beyond the mini golf, I love that they have a driving range. It’s the perfect spot to practice your swings and improve your game.

Plus, the putting green was excellent—well-kept and ideal for honing putting skills.

The golf simulators and academy are fantastic additions. They provide a more advanced experience for serious golfers. However, I do wish the simulators offered a wider selection of courses.

Even so, the pricing is reasonable. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, this place provides great value for the experience.

Pros

  • Well-maintained 9-hole course
  • Friendly staff
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Offers additional golf amenities

Cons

  • Overgrown landscaping
  • Limited simulator courses

“A very consistent really good driving range experience. Enjoyable 9 hole mini putt. I haven’t played the par 3 in awhile, but didn’t have any complaints at the time. Can be an expensive visit if you’re not paying attention. Great facility.”

– Cody Schnell, Google Reviews
