Picnics as adults are not as easy as they used to be when we were kids. We didn’t have to worry about ants trying to steal our fake food or dealing with judgemental looks after we hiked up the hill and realized we forgot the wine.

Sunkissed Design Co. has three awesome and beautiful picnic packages that everyone we talked to seems to love. After seeing their picnic portfolio, we can see why people rush to book a slot with them.
One thing we appreciate is that no matter which picnic experience you pick, they help you with setup and teardown. We also love that they customise the colour scheme for the clients.
While their packages are a little pricey, starting at $425 for 2 people, they do think of almost everything you’d need.
Their “That Babe in Blue” picnic package comes with all the Pinterest aesthetics and decor to make your picnic cute (tables, glassware, macrame, etc). They even have adorable cupcake holders and glass food stands you can use to show off your desserts.
But if we have to pick a favourite, it’s the “Romance Me” package. It’s perfect for intimate proposals or special date nights. We like that they provide candles, a Polaroid camera with film, and even a letter board and Bluetooth speaker if you request them.
There’s also a cute kids “Party in Colour” picnic package. Parents we talked to love the kid-friendly table decor, vibrant plates and fun extras like custom candy boards.

We love that Luxe Picnic includes everything you need for a picture-perfect setup. They give you the picnic, plush rugs, comfy pillows, cushions, and candles and lanterns.
They also take care of the cutlery, place settings, and charger plates. Even the vintage wine glasses they provide add to the overall aesthetic. You can also ask them to add floral arrangements or customised letter boards.
We found their custom backdrops and custom decor pieces awesome as well. When we looked through their portfolio, we saw some asymmetrical floral arches, canvas canopy tents, twinkle lights and more.
What we really love, though, is that they also handle charcuterie and desserts. Those are very trendy these days, so we love that you can easily get them through the Luxe Picnic. According to previous clients, the quality and presentation are top-notch.
People also love the addition of a professional photo session for 30 minutes. We like how they give you the pictures right after your picnic experience is over.
Our only complaint is that their picnics are a little hard to book. Their schedule is usually packed, so plan ahead if you want to hire them.

We love River Cafe’s adorable picnic accessories. They have thought of everything you need for your next picnic.
Their Premium Wicker Basket is one of our favourites because it comes with fine China plates, wine glasses and cutlery.
Their Wine and Charcuterie shoulder bag is also an awesome choice if you love cheese. It comes with an adorable cheese charcuterie board and plenty of space for wine.
And yes, they even sell an awesome selection of wine. People told us their Boomtown Chardonnay had a refreshing apple taste.
We also like their curated picnic experiences. They prepare all the food for you and pack it up for you in to-go containers for easy eating.
People who purchased the River Cafe picnic for two liked being able to choose a delicious sandwich made fresh in the cafe kitchen. As for use, we loved the cute mini chocolate brownies you get as dessert.
Some people, though, complained about the flavour of the red lentil hummus. Many said it tasted a little bit stale.
Fancy picnic in the park
“Perfect for an extended lunch. Or a fancy picnic in the park. Or a dinner you want to look back fondly on. The River Cafe offers a variety of dishes (trout, duck, chicken thigh, etc) cooked using locally sourced ingredients and presented beautifully. Service is relaxed, efficient and informed. Have cocktails, chicken liver starter, house baked bread, wine, duck confit for a main and a panna cotta dessert. Or maybe hummus, beer and a burger. Or just the lake trout on greens. Take two hours. With a friend. Enjoy the season, whether it be looking through frost on the windows during winter or dining all fresco (as I did today) in the summer. There’s a reason, many in fact, this restaurant has been in business for so many years. When clients ask about Canadian food, this is place I suggest. I probably go here every three months or so. Expect to pay about $100 per person for a three course meal with drinks. Portions sizes may be small if you’re from the States, but perfect if you are used to multi-course dining. I’d recommend booking for reservations, but that’s easy to do on-line or on the phone.”

If you’re on the ropes about River Cafe, just take the plunge
“I have always walked or ran past this wonderful place while hanging out at Prince’s Island park, however I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting. A group of us managed to grab some reservations this weekend, and I can honestly say that I’ve been missing out for far too long. There are 3 different areas where one can find seating. They have their interior space, which is reminiscent of a Cabin in the woods (right down to the fishing memorabilia) there is also a new space with picnic tables that has been introduced this season. But the place to be is most definitely the patio! Beautiful, spacious, surrounded by trees and bushes, it really feels like an escape. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. From the hostess who took care of us when we first arrived, to the waitress who was very friendly in explaining a couple of items on the menu that we were unclear about. Speaking of the menu. We where there for brunch so the Bennies were at the top of the list. Not disappointed in the least! The Braised Beef Short rib Bennie was divine, and easily one of the best ive had in the city. We also tried the Panacota for dessert and it was a perfect dish for a warm day. Not overly sweet but sweet and refreshing. Great way to end the meal for sure. All in all, if you’re on the ropes about River Cafe, just take the plunge. Guarantee you will not regret it. But do try to get on that gorgeous patio. I can only imagine how dreamy it would look during the night.”

Captivating Occasions made it on our list because of their stress-free luxury picnics. For $75, they rent out all their best picnic equipment to you for 3 hours.
We really love their themed picnic packages. They already include the entire setup, which often features florals and table runners. Cute aesthetic picnic comforts, like pillows and gorgeous rugs, are also included.
That said, several people said that after everything was all set up, they felt they hardly had much time left to enjoy their picnic.
That aside, many love that the team also throws in a Bluetooth speaker for you to use. This is perfect for those who have a set Spotify picnic playlist ready to play.
We also like that their picnics include a 30-minute photography session with 10 edited photos. Many told us they used this opportunity for fun, bougie family portraits.
They also have plenty of awesome add-ons. We like their graze table charcuterie add-on. They take care of all the cheeses, meats, and dried fruit. Even the desserts, nuts and crackers are handled by them.

Genuinely the best experience! I recommend everyone to try them out for all your special occasions because you won’t be disappointed. Amanda made the whole process so easy, i was trying book a last minute picnic and she made it happen. From the start to end pricing was clear and made my vision come to life. 5. Posh Picnics

What we really love about Posh Picnics is that they can take any location of your choosing. They then turn it into a Pinterest-worthy picnic that will make everyone on Instagram and TikTok jealous.
We found the floral arrangements they use as centrepieces really stunning. They use gorgeous orchids, roses, and lilies.
Another thing we appreciate is that they help clients completely customise their picnic experience. They listen to all their clients’ ideas, whether it be adding a chocolate fondue set or a macramé backdrop.
Some even said that they just shared their vision board with Posh Picnics’ team, and they were able to get the picnic they wanted.
That said, we aren’t too crazy about their communication skills. A few people complained that after reaching out through their website, they had to wait more than 3 days to hear back from them.
