One rainy afternoon, my geriatric Labrador, Daisy, suddenly started limping. The last thing I wanted to do was to take her on a stressful ride and sit for hours in a waiting room.
Desperate for a better option, I looked into mobile vets—and I’m so glad I did. A kind veterinarian showed up at my door, treated Daisy in the comfort of my living room, and even had her tail wagging by the end.
After that experience, I started digging deeper—asking friends, reading reviews, and even chatting with a few vet techs I knew. London has a pretty solid lineup of mobile vets, and I’ve rounded up the best of them here!
Check out what makes each of them stand out!
How much do mobile vet services cost in Calgary?

1. Dr. Wendy Vet Care

Phone: +1 403 888 1744
Business hours: Mon-Fri: 9 AM – 5 PM
I was very impressed by Dr. Wendy’s passion for helping pets and pet parents. She’s been providing in-home veterinary services since 2009. Since then, she has never looked back and recruited other people on her team who had the same dedication.
What I love about Dr. Wendy is her compassion towards pets. Many of the pet owners I talked to told me Dr. Wendy is very patient, even though their pets were a bit stubborn during the treatment process.
When it comes to mobile veterinary services, they can provide 80% of the services that a typical clinic visit offers for dogs and cats. Some of their services are vaccinations, physical examinations, and microchipping.
What’s even better is that they offer an in-home veterinary service package for kittens and puppies. It includes vaccinations, dewormers, and more. You can save up to 20% on the combined prices of each service in the package.
However, they don’t provide services in Deep South Calgary. They only operate in the northwest, southeast, and central south of Calgary.
Absolutely second to none
“The passing of a pet is utterly devastating, the process of euthanasia, we thought was going to be incredibly hard, believe me it was not fun, but what an amazing lady Dr Wendy is, her compassion and bedside manner is absolutely second to none, Dr Wendy was just everything that our family needed at this difficult time, if you need this procedure to take place, please know that we wholeheartedly would recommend Dr Wendy without any doubt and she will help you through this most difficult and distressing time. Dr Wendy, on behalf of Lily, thanks for looking after our little girl so well.”

Calm, kind, and clearly experienced
“My cat is extremely anxious around anyone but me, and as someone who is immunocompromised, home vet visits are a huge help. When my usual mobile vet became unavailable, I was referred to Dr. Wendy — and I’m so glad I was. Eilidh and Alysia were fantastic with scheduling and communication, and the clinic helped me get calming meds ahead of time. Dr. Wendy was kind, calm, and clearly experienced, even when my cat’s spicy side came out. I’m so grateful to the whole team and feel confident putting my cat in their care going forward.”

2. Habitat Vet

Phone: +1 403 701 2497
Business hours: Tue-Fri: 8 AM – 6 PM
One of Habitat Vet’s clients told me how compassionate Dr. Olivia is to her reactive rescue dog. She shared how amazed she was at how Dr. Olivia managed to calm her pup down, something other vets can’t do.
I also appreciate their team for responding to all my questions. I learned about their veterinary services, pricing, and service areas in no time.
What really stood out to me is their willingness to accept appointments outside their business hours. Even the additional fee for after-hours service is reasonable. This leaves busy fur parents with plenty of scheduling options.
For their in-home veterinary services, they offer annual exams, behaviour consultations, and more for dogs and cats.
Not only that, they also provide in-home annual exams and basic grooming services for pigs!
The only flaw I noticed with their operation is that they don’t accept cash payments. It’s a very minor disadvantage, though.
They put me at ease
“I am exceptionally lucky to have Dr. Olivia as my cat’s vet. Over the past three years, Dr. O has provided above and beyond support to us. I particularly appreciate her kind, thoughtful and family-centred approach that she brings to every interaction. I can tell this is not her job, but a calling. I was particularly impressed with Lindsey (vet tech) and Dr. O yesterday. My cat had surgery and I received text/call updates throughout the procedure to ensure I was included every step along the way. Their thorough pre/ post-op education and great care of my cat put me at ease. 24-hrs post op and my cat is happy-go-lucky, as if nothing even happened. Thank you!!”

I would 1000% recommend them to anyone!
“I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am. My middle cat is so nervous and often takes days to recover from the vet. Dr Olivia and Lindsey were so good with her (and my other two girls) and within a half hour, Skye is already back to her normal self. They are kind, honest and so easy to talk to! I would 1000% recommend them to anyone!”

3. Paw Point Home Vet Care

Phone: +1 403 681 8578
Business hours:
- Mon-Fri: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Sat-Sun: 10 AM – 4 PM
Most former clients of Paw Point Home that I interviewed were super satisfied with their service. They didn’t regret booking an in-home euthanasia service, as Dr. Amanda made their beloved pets’ final moments very comforting.
Aside from euthanasia, Dr. Amanda is also skilled in performing acupuncture. It’s helpful for pets that have mobility issues, such as arthritis, paw pad injuries, and sprains.
What’s even better is that her services are not just for cats and dogs, but also for other pets. She can put your rabbit, hamster, and other species to a peaceful sleep.
Last but not least, I admire her for accepting evening and even emergency appointments (as if her daily availability isn’t enough).
That said, her services are limited to in-home acupuncture, quality of life consultation, and euthanasia. If you’re looking for a veterinarian with a range of services, you may check out other entries on this list.
So much compassion, understanding, and patience
“This was the first time I’ve ever said goodbye to a furbaby at home and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Dr. Amanda is the perfect person to offer at home end of life care – she held so much compassion, understanding, and patience for me as I said goodbye to my heart dog, Gussie. He had such a peaceful passing in my arms, and afterwards, as he was secured in her vehicle, my friends overheard her talking to him and telling him they were going for a little ride. I know I made the right choice with Dr. Amanda, and I would recommend anyone who has to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to their loved one to reach out to her.”

We are very grateful
“Amanda was amazing. She has such a gentle approach. She spoke in a soft voice that instantly calmed my dog. She fully explained every step and gave us and our dog time to settle into each step. She made sure he fell asleep and the process would be painless. I was able to hold my dog while he passed and it was so peaceful. She was very understanding our emotions, receptive to each story we shared about our dog, and made sure to tell my dog how good of a boy he was. We are very grateful that our dog could spend his last moments at home where he felt safe and comfortable. Thank you Amanda!”

4. Vets To Go

Phone: +1 888 995 8387
Business hours: Mon-Fri: 9 AM – 5 PM
Vets To Go’s Calgary-wide in-home veterinary services are a green flag. This means there’s always a reliable veterinarian who’s one call away wherever you are in the city.
Speaking of which, they offer a range of veterinary services for dogs and cats. Some of the services they provide are vaccinations, preventive care, and end-of-life care.
The people I spoke to shared how compassionate Dr. Nikki is to their pets. One of them even said that she loves to give treats to her cat every time she arrives.
Additionally, the clinic’s pet removal and cremation services are a huge plus. After they euthanise your pet, the cremation team will arrive right away, making the whole process as stress-free as possible.
However, one of their clients I spoke to expressed disappointment in a cancelled appointment because of the staff member’s poor communication skills. Fortunately, they rescheduled her appointment as soon as possible.
Wonderfully compassionate team
“Amazing. I adopted my boy from SCARS in February 2025. He is on a monthly injection schedule and this month, when it came time to get in the car to visit our friends at Aspen Trails Vet, he balked. I tried treats, his favorite toys and nada. We tried again twice that week and no luck. Aspen Trails (being the amazing and understanding team they are) recommended Vets to Go. We just had Dr. Taylor come to perform a check up and our monthly injection and she was fabulous! My boy was so peaceful, not stressed out at all and got lots of liver treats and pets. Thank you so much to Dr. Taylor and Natasha. I really appreciate how communicative you were and how wonderfully compassionate your team is!”

Punctual, professional, and compassionate
“After 15 years of companionship I had to let my little fur buddy rest. I decided to have him take his final rest at home on his favorite blanket with me at his side. The attending vet was great, she listened to me tell the story how I found my buddy. She assured me I was doing the right thing given his current state of health. Punctual, professional and most importantly compassionate. Its only been 3 days and I am still crushed but this morning I got a little hand written sympathy card in the mail from the staff of Vets To Go. Amazing.”

5. Veterinary Home Care Services

Phone: +1 403 999 2488
Business hours:
- Mon-Fri: 4 PM – 12 AM
- Sat-Sun: 9 AM – 12 AM
All Veterinary Home Care Services’ present and past clients whom I interviewed praised them for providing quality service. This is a strong indication for me that they’re deserving of being on my top list.
One of their advantages over most competitors is their daily operation. Their availability on weekends alone is impressive. They operate from mid-morning until midnight every Saturday and Sunday!
When it comes to in-home veterinary services, they have laser therapy, dietary counseling, and more.
Dr. Matthew’s compassion for animals is commendable. One of his past clients that I talked to stated how gentle he was in giving end-of-life care to her dying pup. He also gave her some spiritual advice after putting her furry friend to sleep.
I was only concerned about some of the people’s remarks about his punctuality. Some of the people I spoke to said that there were times when he arrived late at their doorstep. He had never been late for an hour, though, according to the same people.
Highly recommended!
“We’ve been with Dr. Matthew for almost a year and we are absolutely thrilled to have them be thumpers vet.. There has been plenty of times lately that thumper has needed attention ASAP and Dr. Matthew has been there every single time without hesitation. He is extremely honest, Loves his job and loves every animal he comes across. I definitely trust Dr. Matthew’s decisions and what’s best for Thumper.. Temper absolutely adores him as well, which is a bonus! I’ve taken him to clinics where he is absolutely petrified of them After they do labs But with Dr. Matthews, he is happy as can be after everything’s done And still gives him lots of loving. I Highly recommend Dr. Matthew’s for all your veterinarian needs.”

Dr. Matthew has 1000% of our trust
“Dr. Matthew is the absolute best vet you could ever call. He has supported us several times with our cats. When we had to put down our senior kitty, he was incredible about it from start to finish. His conscientiousness of both human and pet are incredible. He makes tough, stressful situations feel much more navigable. We recently had an emergency with one of our rescues boys and he came to our house the same day we called. He came 3 days in a row and is punctual, professional, caring, and goes above and beyond. He has 1000% of our trust. We will always go to him and listen to his guidance for the well being of our boys. I could go on. Thank you Dr. Matthew for being a gift to humanity..and all of our beloved pets!”
